The Special Snake Bracelet

On a cool, Fall day, a young man was shopping for a present after his mom and dad gave him $200 for a present. Zachary was casing the shops in the mall looking for a special gift that'll change his life for the better.

Zachary was nearly exhausted going into shop after shop until suddenly, he saw a strange store that wasn't there before. He was hoping that the store would have what he was looking for. The interior of the store was weird; there was the smell of incense, different trinkets, potions and shrunken heads.

Now he was unsure if he should've entered, but this was the last store Zachary visited so this was his last chance.

"Can I help you, young man?" a soft, crackling voice shattered the tranquility of the store causing Zachary to suddenly turn on his heel. His eyes met the eyes of a frail, old woman. One of her eyes was a milky white, but her other eye was crooked, her hands were like gnarled tree limbs, but when she smiled, she had a severe gum to tooth ratio.

Zachary replied, "Uh yes. I-I wanted to get a birthday present since today's my birthday."

The woman smiled graciously then walked towards a glass display with a beautifully gold bracelet with two snakes intertwining with each other. Zachary's heart almost skipped a beat as the bracelet shimmered in the nearly dim area of the shop since he loved snakes and it would be a wonderful present.

He asked, "Please can I have that? I've never seen such a beautiful bracelet before and I really want it!" The woman pondered for a few minutes about the purchase then told him that the bracelet would cost $200.

Zachary's eyes lit up happily by the lady's offer so he gave her the entire amount of his birthday money and opened up the display grabbing his prize. He exclaimed, "Thank you so much! Thank you, thank you!" He ran out with a happy smile on his face unaware that the woman had a malevolent smile on her face and chuckled evilly.

Back at home, Zachary went into his room admiring the beautiful bracelet front to back as the gold shimmered and shined. He couldn't wait to try it on so he slipped the bracelet onto his wrist. At first, Zachary thought that he was hallucinating because he swore that it was moving, but it was no hallucination; the snakes actually moved.

Zachary tried to remove the bracelet, but it was stuck tight and there was no clasp on it. To make the situation worse, both of the gold snakes burrowed into Zachary's skin.

Suddenly, Zachary feels a sharp pain in his legs causing him to roll up his pant legs and, to his horror, sees golden scales forming onto his skin. Zachary felt his heart beating faster as he screamed out, "Aahh! W-what's going on?"

He took his pants off completely seeing that the scales were smooth, yet cool to the touch. Zachary felt a sharp pain in his vertabrae as it stretched outward while his tailbone grew past his hip.

"I might enjoy this," Zachary thought, "if my mom wouldn't be so freaked out by snakes."

Unfortunately Zachary's mom did have a severe fear of snakes and told him not to waste his birthday money on anything snake related. Zachary began to freak out more as his legs began to fuse together until it reached up to his stomach.

"What have I done to deserve this?" Zachary moaned to himself as he could feel his humanity slowly slipping away thanks to the "birthday gift" he bought from the store owner.

Suddenly, Zachary felt a twinge of severe pain in his canine teeth causing him to not only open his mouth, but his tongue stretch out and fork in the middle flicking it in and out tasting the air. His canines were seriously sharp and could look like it could do a lot of damage.

Zachary started to feel sick to his stomach after seeing what happened to him as he looked at the lower part of his body that was half-snake, even worse, how would he explain this to his mom?
