You're probably wanting to know about the story of Marfedelom Torke, otherwise known to many as the "Death Angel or the Angel of Death". Marfedelom was an onyx black dragon with sharp teeth, blood red eyes, and a taste for destruction.

Legend has it, that if you spot Marfedelom in the sky, it's already too late for you because no one has ever returned or lived to tell the tale. Anyway, a long time ago, there was once a thriving town with a kind and thoughtful king ruling them and everything was fine.

Until one day, a huge shadow enveloped through the sky making the villagers gasp in horror as they saw the black dragon descend and breathed blue and whitish fire breath scorching the huts. It also burnt down the crops causing the villagers to starve.

Even worse, Marfedelom killed most of them by burning down their homes and eating them one by one. It was then, a male villager rushes toward the castle to warn him about the blood-thirsty dragon. The king was pacing back and forward trying to figure out what to do with it when the man burst through the palace doors panting hard.

"Hm? Is something wrong?" The king asked him.

Through hard breaths, the villager exclaims, "I-it's Marfedelom! It burned down my home and killed my family.." He is still breathing unevenly as he continued, "W-we need to get rid of him before the village is destroyed completely!"

After Marfedelom destroyed the village, it flies towards the forest where it came from. The king sent out a proclamation that if someone who could kill the dragon shall be rewarded 3000 coins. Many hunters and would-be dragon slayers had set foot towards the dragon's hideout, but none had ever came back.

Many years came and went as the attacks continued unchecked with the dragon killing the villagers and burning their crops. It wasn't until a young man brandishing a holy sword came up towards the castle and offered his service to the king. He claimed that with his sword, the man would destroy the evil dragon.

The king was desperate for someone to kill Marfedelom so he would never hurt anyone ever again, so he gave the stranger money for armor to protect himself from the dragon's flame. The stranger refused saying that he would only use the sword claiming it would kill the beast, sending it back to Hell where it belonged.

As he was walking away, the King asked, "What is your name, young one?" The man turned around and answered, "My name is Josiah." He turned around again walking towards the castle gate while the villagers cheered heartily!

Josiah traveled many miles towards Marfedelom's cave, taking a break every so often eating and drinking to keep up his strength. He continued on until the forest clearing laid in front of him beckoning to draw Josiah closer.

Josiah could feel his heart beat in his ears as he made the trek through the dark forest until finally, he found the cave. After going inside, Josiah's eyes started to adjust to the darkness until finally, he found the dragon; lying on a bed of skeletons sleeping.

He pulled out the sword and exclaimed, "Marfedelom the angel of death! Your reign of terror is over, and I will make sure you will never hurt another person again!" The dragon opened its eyes seeing the young man in his domain. Marfedelom snarled and rushed at Josiah tackling him as both of them exited the cave.

Josiah somersaulted backwards until he hit a gnarled tree almost knocking him out. The dragon roared fiercely breathing its plume of flames at the young man. Luckily, Josiah jumped out of the way as he ran towards the dragon swinging his sword trying to wound it. Marfedelom swung his tail at Josiah, hitting him in the chest, knocking the sword out of his hands.

"I have to do something before that dragon kills me," Josiah thought. Before Marfedelom could breathe its flame again, Josiah reacted and grabbed his sword, stabbing the dragon on its side, causing it to bleed. Marfedelom roared in pain slashing Josiah in the shoulder causing a severe gash, but he continued to fight.

Josiah rushed at the beast with the point of the sword aimed at its heart and with one swift stab, impaled the dragon in its black heart. With a roar, Marfedelom finally fell on the forest floor and died instantly. Fight over, Josiah pulled his sword out and walked away leaving the beast to rot.

Years passed as people remembered the young man who defended the village from the dragon of death. A man dressed in a black robe approached the tree where the skeleton of the former Marfedelom laid. The man was known as a disgraced necromancer who was exiled because of his ability.

The necromancer heard of the dragon's reputation and had an idea; he would use the beast as a weapon as revenge so he used his magic to create a "heart" for the skeleton. The necromancer put the heart-like orb inside its ribs and the effect was instant. The dragon's muscles started to form onto the skeletal parts, then the scales began to grow on the muscles.

Unfortunately, the scales didn't completely cover the muscles, but its organs and finally, its eyes formed. Afterwards, the monster dragon was alive again! The necromancer thought that because he resurrected the dragon, he could control it. However, Marfedelom snarled and ate the necromancer.

After his light meal, the beast remembered the young man Josiah killed him so he went to find the slayer and exact his revenge.

                                     The End
Before you get at me, I don't like dragons being killed, but this was the legend of the dragon known only as Marfedelom Torke, aka the Death Angel.
